On March 27th, 2023 KTE Clinical Counselor (Clem Fong), KT Lead (Seff Pinch), and KTE Indigenous Consultant (Ashley Smoke) travelled to explore the unique community-based models of drug checking and inhalation services in Victoria, BC. The team connected with partners from ANKORS, SAFER Victoria, The Harbour Supervised Consumption Service, SOLID Outreach, and Substance Drug Checking. Since this trip, the team has been able to share learnings back with community partners across the country seeking information on these models, arranged further experiential learning for SAFER Victoria, and strengthened relationships with these innovative organizations.
