Overview
What is a Community of Practice? A group of people who:
- Have similar concerns or passions
- Share experiences, stories, and tools intended to improve their approach and outcome
- Meet regularly to accelerate and spread expertise
How it works
Participants register to join the community of practice by using a registration form located on the HUB website. Once enrolled, participants can accelerate their planning and troubleshooting process by accessing discussion forums, online training sessions, and one-to-one training from leaders in the field. All presentations and documents will be available in English and French.
There are three key components to the HUB Community of Practice:
1. Explore
Online Library: Access toolkits, presentations & meeting notes
2. Discuss
Interactive video sessions: Learn from experts and peers about specific evidence-informed topics related to establishing and operating an Urgent Public Health Need Site (UPHNS)
3. Focus
One-to-one training: each community setting has unique factors that must be considered. While there are many to be learned that apply in most situations, tailor your approach by ensuring that your identified differences are examined and addressed. Talk with a network of leaders in the field who can provide insights into how they approach similar situations.
